Every Run to the Sun raises the bar. The Alps in 2026. A continent in 2027.
The formula does not change: a small grid, hotels chosen with care, secure parking at every stop, long lunches, a support crew, and one table every evening. What changes is the map. In 2027 it stretches from one coast of Europe to the other.
Day by day
Two seas,
six days.
This is the working route: the plan as it stands today. Hotels and stops will move as we lock things in, and returning drivers hear about every change first.
This is the biggest map we have ever drawn for a Run to the Sun. You sign in beside one sea and hand the keys back beside another. In between sit a Grand Prix circuit, the high Alps, a château above the Rhône and five countries of the best driving roads in Europe. One week, two coastlines, and a grid small enough that everyone shares one table at dinner.
Day 1 · Amsterdam · Sign in at the W, drop the bags and let the city open the week: a boat through the canals and a welcome party.
Day 2 · South to Champagne · Out of the low country to lunch at Spa-Francorchamps, then champagne in Champagne for the night.
Day 3 · Champagne to Lucerne · Park roads through the hills to lunch in Mulhouse, then over the border to the lake at Lucerne.
Day 4 · The high Alps · Over the Gotthard Pass, lunch in Verbier, and down into Chamonix for a night under Mont Blanc.
Day 5 · The Rhône valley · A short run south to Château de Fontager, above the Rhône. Pool day. Long lunch. No agenda.
Day 6 · The Mediterranean · Down the Rhône to lunch in Narbonne, then along the coast to the W on Barcelona's beachfront.
