Who we are
Sixty8 Adventure is a luxury travel company based in Alta, Norway. We run driving events, trips and stays, and we sell them through this website. If you have any question about this policy or your data, email us at aj@sixty8adventure.com.
What we collect
Enquiries. When you send an enquiry through the site, we receive what you type in the form: your name, email address, phone number, how many people you are travelling with, your message, and which trip or subject the enquiry is about.
The magazine. If you join the Sixty8 Adventure Lifestyle Magazine, you give us your email address. The magazine runs on beehiiv, our newsletter platform, and your address is stored there.
Purchases and deposits. If you buy something or place a deposit, the order runs through Shopify's checkout. Your payment details go directly to the payment provider. We never see or store your card numbers.
Website basics. Like most websites, our platform (Shopify) uses cookies and collects standard technical information, such as your device type and the pages you visit, to make the site work and to show us how it is used. You choose what to allow in the cookie banner.
How we use it
We use your information to answer your enquiry, to plan and arrange the trip you asked about, to process orders and deposits, and to send you the magazine if you joined it. When you enquire, you will get one automatic email confirming we received it. That is not marketing, just a receipt.
Who we share it with
We share as little as possible, and only to do the job:
• Shopify hosts this website and handles checkout.
• beehiiv stores magazine email addresses and sends the magazine.
• Google provides the email service we use to reply to you.
• Trip partners. When you book a trip or a stay, we pass the hotels and partners who deliver it what they need, such as names for a room booking, and nothing more.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Marketing
The only marketing we send is the magazine, and only if you signed up for it. Every issue has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes one click.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as we need it to run your trip and to meet legal requirements, such as accounting rules. If you never travel with us, we delete enquiry details once they are no longer needed. Magazine addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email aj@sixty8adventure.com and we will sort it out. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or the data authority in your own country.
Videos and links
Some pages embed videos in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which sets no advertising cookies until you press play. Links to our social media and other sites lead to services with their own privacy policies.
Changes
If we change this policy, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top.
